Face to Face (Cara a Cara) is one of Brazil’s most famous board games, similar to Guess Who. But in this day and age of social networks, board games have lost its appeal. We needed to make the new generation that spends lots of time on social network interested in the game. The strategy was focused on driving this target to the Face to Face game inside social networks.
The objective in the original Face to Face game is to guess which character your opponent has selected by asking them yes or no questions. In Facebook, instead of characters, players had their Facebook friends assigned as pieces to guess from, which created a customized experience for each player. Players could also print friends to play on a real game board. When players printed avatars of their friends to play on the real Board, we were actually creating a new board game inside Facebook. The Buy button inside the game created a new sales channel for the client, and the game was also shared in the network.
