After being in the music business for 30 years, Nando Reis became independent and released his new album in an original way: with the direct participation of his fans. On the internet!
Nando Reis is a famous songwriter in Brazil but in 2013 he was passing for a whole new experience: for the very first time after 30 years of his musical career he was back again as a Independent Artist (without record labels contracts). So how would he release a CD in this whole new context? Asking the fans to participate and live with him this new moment. The album SEI was available on his website and people could name the price that they though was fair. At the end of each week the price was define by average of all fans opinions. The price float like a stock market.
But that's not all. 20 fans who more interacted with the platform (spreading the world out/ buying the cd/ convincing new friends about the price he wants) received the CD from no one less than Nando himself in a promotion activation for Correios (Mail services). With this strategy we created a whole new way to the artist interact with his fans, creating a brand experience for Correios which had a strategic role in Nando's CD launch.
