Color+City
Connecting street artists with wall owners
A digital platform that revolutionized urban art in São Paulo. In 2013, we created the first tool that allowed artists to find available walls to paint, transforming the city through collaboration between community and street art.

Color+City was born from a simple question: what if we could connect graffiti artists with people who have walls needing color? In March 2013, we launched the first digital platform that did exactly that - a tool that allowed property owners to register their walls and artists to reserve spaces to create urban art.
The platform was simple and effective:
1.Property owners registered available walls on the website
2.Artists browsed through an interactive map integrated with Google Maps
3.Each artist reserved a space and had 15 days to paint
4.Completed works were marked on the map and shared in the gallery
5.The city gained color through direct collaboration

“The Biggest PR Coverage for Google since its official launch in Brazil, millions of brazilian reals in return.”
egacy and Transformation
More than numbers, Color+City transformed the relationship between art and city:
"That wall that separates became a wall that integrates" - Gilberto Dimenstein
The project democratized urban art, allowing renowned graffiti artists, young beginners, and even children to participate freely. It created new social bonds between artists and residents, breaking down barriers of fear and urban isolation through the "color conspiracy."
Strategic Partnerships
A diverse network of partners made the project possible:
•Google Brazil - Technical support and Google Maps integration
•Projeto Quixote - Social inclusion through graffiti
•CUBOCC and Agência Ideal - Digital execution and campaign
•Escola do Futuro (USP) - Academic support
•Catraca Livre and Ideafixa - Media coverage and content
